"The Ritarose Woman is strong but feminine, confident yet unassuming,
stylish without being vain," says jewelry designer Sarah Whitmore.
"She's a firefighter, a student, an attorney, a mom, a doctor, a
soccer player." Seattle designer Sarah Whitmore's latest line,
Ritarose, embodies the beauty and individuality of the women
who wear it.
Inspired by diverse historical motifs such as decorative metalwork of the
American West and Moorish architectural detailing, Sarah Whitmore has
created jewelry that blends the traditions of classic wrought-iron
artisanship with the sophisticated contemporary beauty of sterling silver.
Ritarose pieces are bold, yet softened by delicate filigree. The comforting
patina of Ritarose sterling silver designs contrasts cool tranquility with
flourishing movement.
Sarah Whitmore has been designing jewelry for ten years. As chief designer
for a major jewelry-manufacturing company, Sarah created successful mass-market
pieces lauded in fashion publications and sold at major department stores.
In 2003, she launched Sarah Whitmore Designs to create more personal jewelry.
Ritarose jewelry is professionally crafted in the United States by a small
group of Northwest artists. The Ritarose line is now available nation-wide,
and is distributed through finer jewelry stores such as Something Silver.
